Damon Kowarsky, Artistic Director at Raleigh Street Studios in Melbourne Australia, visited Pakistan for the first time in 1997 as a student. An Alumnus of National College of Arts besides Glasgow School of Art and Advanced Figure Drawing, he’s also taught at Beaconhouse University and Indus Valley in Karachi. It’s been 20 years since Damon has been returning to Pakistan to explore and celebrate the local art of Pakistan.
Hyun Ju Kim, hailing from Seoul in South Korea, is a famous printmaking artist from Melbourne, Australia. She first visited Pakistan in 2015 to help NCA reopen its department for Lithography that had been closed for 30 years. Kim returned this year for a series of exhibitions and workshops across Pakistan, and to explore the country she explains falling in love with instantly.
