Aesop‘s Hong Kong office in Upper Station Street Sheung Wan has a new permanent wall installation and there was an opening cocktail of “Life Along The River” exhibition last week. 5 amazing etching works by Australian artist Damon Kowarsky and Japanese artist Kyoko Imazu were showcased alongside with their test etching works on on the walls – as an art and culture exchange between Australian and Japanese background.
Each piece is echoing their imagination on the possible happenings of living along a river in Japan, where you can spot some fun and cute details like rabbit families, sea monsters…etc. Damon is an archaeological illustrator where he does the environmental parts of the art works while Kyoko is responsible for the creatures and animals in them. I have to say they have achieved quite an interesting outcome!
This is the permanent wall installation where everyone wants to grab a piece of etching home… I’d like to have one too!
