A new booklet celebrates 150 years of the periodic table with elemental artwork

This year the periodic table marks its 150th anniversary.

Quantum Victoria in Melbourne decided to celebrate by creating a new booklet filled with artworks showing the importance of each element.

The booklet is called An Elemental Journey Through the Periodic Table, and many of the hexagonal illustrations have also been installed as sculptures inside the Quantum Victoria building.

The plan was to demonstrate to school students how important each of those elements can be in our lives.
